"I'm a millionaire now!" a Casuarina woman said after this week discovering TattsLotto win from a fortnight ago.
Nearly two weeks after the draw, the woman is now busily planning for life as a millionaire after discovering she was the mystery TattsLotto winner The Lott officials had been searching for.
"I had seen that I'd had a few missed calls, but I usually don't answer calls from private numbers," she said.
The NT player held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4101, drawn on November 7.
The winning entry was registered to a Tatts Card however The Lott officials had been unable to make contact with the winner despite numerous attempts to phone her with the life-changing news.
The happy winner plans to use her windfall to buy a new home, upgrade her car and travel the Territory.
She has won a prize of $1,028,920.70.
Sharing her excitement with an official from The Lott this morning, the overwhelmed winner initially couldn't comprehend the news.
"This isn't a joke?" she questioned.
"Oh my god! Oh sh*t! That's amazing! Wow! Sh*t!
"Unbelievable! I'm at home by myself and I need someone here to pinch me!
"I've been playing for 30 years and the biggest win I've ever had was $1000 back in 1985.
"Oh my God. I'm a millionaire now!
"I only realised I had won when I went into the outlet this morning to put my entries on for the next few weeks and they told me they couldn't pay my prize.
"I called you guys thinking I'd have to complain about a problem with my account, only to hear I've won a lot of money!
"I can't believe it!"
When asked how she planned to enjoy life as a newly-minted millionaire, the loving mum said she couldn't wait to tell her family.
"I've got kids so I'll be having a chat to them about it and see what I can do to help them, but I think I'll stop renting and buy myself a house outright!" she declared.
"I think I'll buy myself a new car too! My car is 10 years old, and it's done far too many kilometres. Just this week someone crashed into me and ruined my paint job.
"I can't wait to upgrade and then spend some time exploring the territory!
"I've got quite a bit of long service leave to use, but I won't quit my job as I love where I work and I want to stay there until I retire!"
