Hundreds of people attended the 2019 march to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander culture and to push for greater recognition.
NAIDOC celebrations have been ongoing this week after the opening ceremony last Sunday.
The theme for NAIDOC in 2020 is Always Was, Always Will Be.
Kalano Community Association deputy chief executive officer Alan Mole said the theme recognises First Nations people and their ongoing connection to country.
"It means a lot to me," he said.
"Always Was, Always Will Be, it's Indigenous country, we're the first people and it's important that we're recognised."
Kalano Community Association held a carnival event yesterday to bring families and service providers like Anglicare and Wurli-Wurlinjang together for a NAIDOC celebration.
Other events for the week included an 8-Ball tournament last weekend and a Salvation Army barbeque today.
NAIDOC was originally scheduled for earlier in 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the celebrations.
National NAIDOC Week was earlier in November, but Katherine NAIDOC committee chairman Rodney Hoffman told the Katherine Times the delay in the town was also due to the pandemic.
