The event took place on the International Day of People with Disability.
It was organised by the Katherine Town Council and hosted by Godinymayin Tijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre.
Connor McBean won the outstanding person with a disability award, taking out the award ahead of a competitive field.
The award recognises the contribution people living with a disability make in the Katherine community.
NT Respite Care Plus won the other award on offer today, recognising the most outstanding service or support for people living with a disability.
KTC alderman Matt Hurley, who lives with a disability, was a guest speaker at the event.
He said his disability had not held him back in life and encouraged other people living with disabilities to aim high and achieve their goals.
