The Territory Tourism Voucher scheme started in July 2020 and is a $16.2 million package designed to support the NT tourism industry as it recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the waitlist now cleared, Territorians have until the end of April to use the $200 voucher on a discounted local tourism experience.
The NT Government said their figures up to April 9 2021 reveal the third round has generated more than $9.4 million in sales since February, with $26.7 million spent across all three rounds.
Tourism and Hospitality Minister Natasha Fyles said NT residents have supported local businesses via the vouchers.
"The last of the Territory Tourism vouchers have now been released and there is still time to book an amazing local tourism experience," she said.
"Territorians have embraced holidaying in their own backyard and I'd encourage locals to consider travelling to some of our unique regions and help businesses thrive."
The vouchers can be used on multiple tourism experiences in the Top End, Red Centre, Katherine and Barkly regions.
Tourism operators and businesses in Katherine have continuously supported the program, and said it helped them get through a difficult 2020.
A Katherine Visitor Information Centre spokesperson has said the centre received a record number of bookings because of the voucher program.
The spokesperson said the previous record for total booking values at the centre was set in 2018/19, with $1.3 million in bookings received.
As of Monday March 29, the Katherine Visitor Information Centre has already received over $2.1 million in total booking value for 2020/21.
People with a voucher are eligible to apply for an additional $200 bonus claim if they travel more than 400km for their booking.
All voucher recipients have 14 days after it arrives to book a tourism experience in the Northern Territory.
