KTC said it has carried out work this week to clean the popular swimming spot after the effects of the wet season.
"After each wet season Katherine Town Council's Depot Crew carry out routine work on the areas that were closed over the wet season period... due to such a great wet season there is a bit of clean up," KTC said in a statement.
KTC said it is still assessing any minor damage caused by one of Katherine's wettest wet seasons ever, ahead of an expected jump in tourists and swimmers at the Hot Springs this Dry Season.
"Council is currently assessing the damage caused by the recent flooding in the river corridor in the Hot springs area.
"Once the assessment is completed the contractor will replant all the flood effected area."
The Katherine Boat Ramp and Knotts Crossing remain closed, KTC said it is currently working on opening these areas as soon as possible.
