Jeremy Trembath and his wife, Amy are practising regenerative agriculture at their family farm just north of Katherine.
"We run a small herd of beef cattle and are experimenting with small-scale cropping, vegetables, and chickens for egg production plus more," Mr Trembath said.
"We went back and forth to Zimbabwe a couple of times until 2003 when we moved back for good after our farm was taken in the land snatching of the opposition political party.
"This mainly happened to white farmers, by the grasping for power government at the time."

Mr Trembath holds a private pilot's license, which he uses to fly his veterinarian wife around Queensland, South Australia, and West Australia.
"Wherever there be an animal in need, Lady Amy will fix it," he said.
"I'm a carpenter by trade and hold a residential builders license, both of which I try my best not to use.
"I've been farming nearly full time for the past four years. I spent one of those years in the dairy scene in New Zealand."
Mr Trembath is passionate about local produce and would also like to address Katherine's recycling system.
"Using less diesel kilometre and having a lower impact on our earth is my focus," he said.
"Recycling is at the forefront but more so, preventative recycling; let's say you drink a bottle of rum, without sending it away and burning a whole lot more energy, you could simply clean it at home and reuse the bottle.
"For me, I'd fill it with either honey from the bees I have or milk from my house cow.
"We don't need everyone to do everything for us."

Keeping the river system and town clean of weeds and rubbish is something that needs ongoing management Mr Trembath said.
"I chose to put my name in for alderman because I thought it was time to come down from the bleachers and participate," he said.
"A community garden would also be great.
"And I want to provide education to small landholders around Katherine on land management -because it's a real problem.
"Katherine also needs to be a safer environment, but how we will achieve that in a modern-day correct manner is hard to say."
Jeremy Trembath's appointment with Katherine Town Council will commence on Wednesday May 5 and continue until the next scheduled Local Government Election in August 2021.
