Comments recently posted on social media questioned what, if any, upgrades were to be expected for the pool/water park due to the steamy climate of the region.
As part of this strategic plan, members of the community will be encouraged to submit any thoughts or ideas they have regarding the facility, said a Katherine Town Council spokesperson.
"While developing this plan, there will be extensive community consultation. Here we would love to hear these sorts of wants, ideas, and information from the community to include in the strategic plan," a council spokesperson said.
A $5 million election promise was made in 2019 with plans for a beach lagoon and water park in Katherine.
