Ms Fyles said the NT government was leading the nation in the vaccine rollout and now had an opportunity to further accelerate the program.
"We are working closely with the Commonwealth Government which is delivering 10,000 additional doses to the Northern Territory per week," she said.
"We were the first to collapse the tranches and open the vaccine up to the entire eligible population and we were the first to make the vaccine available to people over the age of 16."
Groups including Indigenous Australians, people aged 30-59, people with a medical condition and pregnant women will be given priority for Covid-19 vaccination appointments in the Greater Darwin area.
Katherine residents over the age of 16 can book a Covid-19 vaccination appointment at the community clinic, with Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service, the Katherine West Health Board and Sunrise Health Service administering vaccines through their health centres to Indigenous community members.
