The meeting is expected to discuss steps for when current CEO Ian Bodill's current contract ends in February 2022.
The discussion, put on the agenda by Mayor Lis Clark said, that "council must now start discussing how we would like to proceed with his [Mr Bodill's] contract and potential recruitment to the role of Chief Executive Office".

The previous CEO recruitment in 2019 took six months to find a successful candidate for the position and involved external recruiting help.
Katherine mayor at the time, Fay Miller, who sat on the selection panel, said the recruitment process was "probably the longest period of recruitment I've been in".
"The parameters we had were quite specific. It has been quite a challenge, but I am quite sure we've made the right decision," she said.
Ms Clark said that other councils who might also be looking to recruit could affect any potential pool of candidates for the position
"It should also be noted that it is a possibility that both the regional councils based in Katherine, Roper Gulf Regional Council and Victoria Daly Council will also soon be actively recruiting to the role of Chief Executive Officer, which could impact our selection period," she said.
Mr Bodill was appointed after the former CEO Robert Jennings announced his departure to Alice Springs.
He has been the chief executive in various locations across Western Australia and the Northern Territory, and before moving to Katherine was at Longreach Regional Council.
Deputy mayor vote
Council will vote on a Deputy Mayor at the first meeting, with a recommendation that the position be held for the duration of the four-year election period which will end in 2025.
The council is expected to discuss and decide on the term of the appointment, with the mayor then calling for votes from the floor for the position.
The council will vote on the nominees if there is more than one, with the successful candidate being appointed.
