A woman will face court in Katherine after allegedly being caught in possession of a commercial quantity of cannabis and a taser.

Police stopped the 30-year-old woman as she was driving into Katherine around 4pm on Wednesday and searched her vehicle, allegedly finding the drugs and taser inside.
The woman was arrested and charged with possessing and supplying a commercial quantity of a schedule 2 drug and possessing a prohibited weapon.
She was remanded in custody to appear in the Katherine local court on Thursday.
Constable First Class Mia Nankivell encouraged the public to come forward with information about potential criminal activity by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
"Information provided to police via Crime Stoppers may achieve an immediate result or form part of a longer-term investigation which will ultimately help keep the community safe".
