It is a reminder of how easy it is for one person to infect a lot of people in a short period of time.
I take my hat off to all the health workers who are working with the community to keep us all safe by manning the testing stations and trying to keep up with the lines of people waiting to be tested.
I thank the Woolworths staff and take away outlets that are all providing a service to the community to keep www.katherinetimes.com.au/story/7516761/we-gotta-get-that-needle-on-the-streets-of-katherine-the-threat-of-covid-looms-large/?cs=1459
OTHER NEWS:
A huge thank you to the nursing staff that are manning the immunisation clinic and mobile clinics that are encouraging the community to vaccinate.
It is a huge undertaking by all involved.
I also thank the community for their patience with this lockdown.
It has been a blow for many of our business people that are not able to open their doors. I encourage any of you to apply for the government assistance grants that are available.
It will never make up for the losses that you have endured but it may help a little.
If you are not immunised please consider it carefully particularly if you have underlying health issues.
Please stay safe and look after the ones around you until the lockdown is lifted.
