The Territory's Chief Minister Michael Gunner also announced that Katherine had hit 81 per cent double vaccinate.
But wastewater testing in the Bicentennial Road and Chambers Road catchments have returned positive results for COVID.
"I am pleased - extremely pleased - to report that Katherine now has a double dose vaccine rate of 81 per cent. Congratulations Katherine," Mr Gunner said.
OTHER NEWS:
"This result means lockdowns are less likely in the future. It means fully vaccinated people will have more freedoms in future outbreaks.
"It also means that Katherine is now a high-vaccination zone - and can be used as a place for home quarantine.
Mr Gunner said investigations would continue into the source of the positive wastewater tests.
"So we have to keep investigating that - and it is a concern," Mr Gunner said.
"Remember - Katherine is in lockout. So people who aren't fully vaccinated are in lockdown, and fully vaccinated people must still be wearing masks when in the community.
"And of course, if you are in Katherine and you have symptoms, please get tested immediately. We need to see good testing numbers in Katherine.
Of the three new cases announced on Wednesday, two were flight crew from London who were close contacts of the initial case on that flight. They are in the Centre for National Resilience and genomic sequencing is underway.
The child from Binjari has been in quarantine with family at the Centre for National Resilience for its entire infectious period.
There are now 208 close contacts - all of whom have been contacted and isolated - and 201 negative tests returned, with 2,543 tests in the Territory in the past day.
The Robinson River lockout is set end at 6pm today.
In Lajamanu more than 700 COVID-19 tests have been carried out, with the results from 243 done on Tuesday expected back today.
"All the other tests have come back negative. The wastewater has now turned negative as well," Mr Gunner said.
"So it looks like Lajamanu is in the clear. From midday today, we will transition Lajamanu to a lockout footing - so vaccinated residents can move about the community, while staying in the community.
"Hopefully all the outstanding results will come back negative tonight - then we should be in a position tomorrow to lift the lockout as well."
