The ladies also are having a "come and try" night on Wednesday January 19 to allow new and existing players to come down and get to know the team and see if they want to play when the season begins.
We are definitely looking for new players and are hoping to get enough girls to have a full side every week once games begin.
We encourage anyone to come down to training on Wednesday nights, no previous experience is necessary.
Our focus is on having fun and meeting new people, not necessarily winning every game.

Katherine community footy is a lot of fun and a good league for anyone who is interested in playing footy, whether you are a new or experienced player.
It is great seeing so many clubs putting women's teams into the competition. It is definitely a great way to meet new people.
The Camels are a very social club and have multiple social events during the year. The Camels Ladies are planning on being a lot more social this year and we already have a few ideas forming.
Major goals for this season include putting the Camels Ladies AFL team out there and encourage new players to join the club. We want to get our voice out in the community and have ideas for fundraisers and giveaways throughout the season and show community spirit.
We want to make footy accessible for everyone. We are happy to provide transport to and from training/games for anyone who needs it. Want to support girls playing football.
People can message the Katherine Camels' Instagram or Facebook pages to express their interest, or come down to training at the Showgrounds on Wednesday from 5.30pm.
Sarah Assmus and Lita Hoffman are the co-captains of the Katherine Camel's women's side.
