Health Minister Natasha Fyles told a press conference on Monday that the two people were among 78 people in hospitals with COVID-19 across the Territory.
It comes as the NT recorded 286 new cases in the last 24 hours, signaling a drop in the seven-day average rolling case numbers in the Territory.
However, Ms Fyles said a new cluster was growing in the Pine Creek region.
More news:
There were two new cases recorded in Pine Creek and five in the nearby remote community of Kybrook Farm.
"We have done significant testing and that will continue today in that community around Pine Creek," Ms Fyles said.
"There are now 11 cases so there's clearly a cluster there."
Of the 78 people in hospital, eight are requiring oxygen and four are in the ICU.
Deputy Chief Health Officer, Dr Marco Briceno, said there was an "overrepresentation" of unvaccinated people "getting very sick and needing ICU care."
