“I’ve been wanting to do it since my final year of high school,” Ms Jay said.
“When one of our previous co-workers did it last March, I decided this year would be the year to do it.”
Joined by brave colleagues Narelle Cook and Chris Zabell, the Woolworths workers (pictured) will shave their locks on March 12, all in the name of cancer research.
“It’s a good cause and I’ve already done it 17 years ago, so I know what I’m in for,” Ms Cook said.
The week before the big shave, Ms Jay will be holding her own raffle, with the winner set to make the big chop of her hair.
Courtesy of Woolworths, the women will also raise money on March 7 with a sausage sizzle held outside Katherine Oasis Plaza.
Collection tins are located at the service desk at Woolworths Katherine.
