The top six has now been decided, with reigning premiers Eastside Football Club and the Ngukurr Bulldogs rounding out the first three spots on the ladder.
The Arnhem Crows, Kalano bombers and Gurindji Eagles make up the remainder of the teams heading for the finals series.
All teams this week will be community teams, so expect some fast-paced footy with high scores.
The Camels and Eastside will get a week’s respite before they square off against one another and, in week one, the Bulldogs will battle the Eagles in the first elimination final.
In the second game, the Crows will take to the field against the Bombers in what is shaping up as a thrilling start to the finals.
“All teams this week will be community teams, so expect some fast-paced footy with high scores,” AFLNT Katherine regional manager Eamon Rice said.
High scores and whopping margins were the status quo for matches played on August 28 and 29, with the smallest victory of the three games played being 10 goals.
On Friday night, the Arnhem Crows were easy winners when they tackled the Beswick Bears.
The Crows got out to an early lead and the Bears tried to play catch-up, but they were inaccurate at times, with the Crows running away with the points.
The Crows were well served by Long in the backline, who thwarted many opposition forward thrusts.
Blitner did his league best and fairest chances no harm with another stellar display for the Beswick outfit.
In a dominant display with a few of its stars out, Eastside Football Club totally outclassed the hapless Lajamanu Swans on Saturday afternoon.
Eastside got off to a flyer by booting seven majors in the first stanza, with Roe kicking seven of his own for the victorious line-up.
In the final game, the Kalano Bombers failed to capitalise on a six-goal first quarter against the Ngukurr Bulldogs to go down by 53 points. Hall and Lansen were great for the Bulldogs, as was goal sneak Jimmy Hall, who finished with five goals.
