CatholicCare NT tenancy support case manager Corinna Pope said they were supporting Food Ladder by providing an open event.
“We’ve realised it’s an important thing for our community,” she said.
“We normally do a barbecue breakfast before the march but this year we’ve decided to do a morning tea to support the community garden.”
KIWA secretary Angie Siputro said this would also be an open day for the community greenhouse.
“We’ll be exposing members of the public about KIWA’s vision, about what they want to be able to succeed with using this farm,” she said.
“We’ll be doing healthy recipe ideas based off of some of the products we’ll be growing.
“We’ll be sharing ideas on how people can do their own gardens at home.”
