The inaugural Attendant Care Industry Awards were held on September 15 which saw Somerville’s Kadek Knight receive the national rights and responsibilities award.
Without the care and support of attendant care support workers, many people would not be able to participate in the community, education, employment and live their lives in a manner of their choosing. the awards ceremony was told.
The attendant care industry awards were created to acknowledge the dedication and professionalism of attendant care support workers in the disability, aged care and community sectors.
They also provide an opportunity for peers to acknowledge their co-workers’ outstanding service provision.
Kadek is employed at Somerville’s Disability Services house in Katherine.
