Cicada Lodge has shone at the 2016 Northern Territory Australian Hotels Association Gold Plate Awards last night winning the Best Hotel Restaurant category to top off its best season since opening.

“The Australian Hotels Association NT Awards for Excellence are recognised as the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry”, said Nitmiluk Tours chair Jane Runyu,
“This awards are a testament to the passion, creativity and hard work of the whole Cicada Lodge and Nitmiluk Tours teams, through to our local operational and business partners and our dedicated on-ground team. I thank them all and accept this award on their behalf,” she said.
“Cicada Lodge was developed out of a dream to showcase the Nitmiluk region and the culture of our owners, the Jawoyn people; and to bring a new element to tourism in the Top End. In all facets of the operation – and in particular dining - we strive to achieve and deliver on that promise,” she said.
“2016 has been a great season for the Katherine region with record numbers of guests coming to experience everything the destination has to offer.
“Recognition of the excellence of the product in the region through awards such as this can only help grow our market profile”.
