Officially Katherine has received 13.2mm so far in the past 24 hours, although town gauges are recording about double that.
Katherine has officially recorded 135.8mm for February against a long term average of 241.5mm.
The total for the year is 545.8mm against 171.4mm at the same time last year.
The Bureau of Meteorology will issue an update on the minor flood warning on river levels in the lower Katherine River although river plots show the rise slowing.
The bureau is still advising minor flooding may occur along Katherine River Gorge Road.
