The colourful winner, who was unaware of his new windfall, shared that he’d had an “interesting” weekend and asked whether the official was calling to turn it all around.
“Are you calling with some good news? Are you going to make up for my weekend?” he initially quizzed officials.
When officially told that he had won a division one share of $1,400,000 he went silent before expressing some happy expletives. “
I’m f***ing over the moon! You have no idea how much this means to me!” he laughed.
“This is amazing news. Just, wow.”
While the winner hasn’t yet decided what he’ll spend his new windfall on, Tatts officials have calculated his $1.4 million could afford approximately 4472 helicopter rides over Katherine Gorge, 311 nights stay in the luxury Dune Pavillion at Uluru or two top-of-the-line upgraded trophy trucks to compete in the Tatts Finke Desert Race.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 12-game QuickPick from Katherine Exposure Photographics.
Megan Smale, one of the owners of Katherine Exposure Photographics, shared it was great to have another winning entry sold at the store.
“It’s coming up to five years since our last division one win here so it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate again,” Ms Smale said.
“The last win came just as we took over the shop so it’s great to have a win now we know our customers better!
“We wish the lucky winner all the best with his new millionaire status!”
