The fight to become Katherine’s next top pooch is a fierce battle that is reaching the pointy end.
There is only one day left to vote for your favourite dog and with almost 200 votes so far Katherine Times can give you a glimpse at the leader board.
Lord Bristol Ruffington has taken the lead.
Billie is snappy at his heels in second place.
But our bets are on dark horse Wolfie to pull through in the final hours.
The Katherine Times has had a blast during the past three weeks meeting all of our 22 finalists in the Dog of a Day competition.
Every day we featured a Dog of a Day on our website and through social media.
We will award our most loved hound a 2017 Dog of the Day certificate at Doggy Day.
Doggy Day will be held this Saturday, July 8, between 8.30-11.30am on Civic Centre lawns on the Stuart Highway.
There will be council ranger talks, market stalls and exhibitions, competitions and prizes, kids fun activities, demonstrations, dog grooming and free doggie bags.
You can register your dog for life for $125 and pay $20 for micro chipping.
Food and drinks will be available.
Now, it’s over to our readers to vote for their favourite pooch. Voting closes at 12pm on Friday, July 7.
