As we said, Katherine reached 37.1 on Thursday and the Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting a straight string of 35 degree days for the rest of this week although the temperature has already bettered the forecast today.
The long term average maximum temperature is 32.7 degrees and this month we have recorded an average of 34 degrees.
The minimum average temperatures have been pretty much on the money with 15 degrees so far.
