In a moving medieval ceremony, Goran's son Zaine bound the couples hands together with a silken ribbon as they exchanged their vows inside a circle of rocks on the ground.

“My husband is Swedish so it was a traditional viking style wedding,” bride Rachel said. 

The newlyweds were married the day after their fourth anniversary as a couple.

“He proposed in the desert while we were travelling around Australia,” she said. 

Following the ceremony the groom unbuttoned his white shirt to reveal his true feelings for his wife to family and friends from Queensland (see photo) before heading to the reception at the Katherine Golf Club.

The pair moved to Katherine this year to open tattoo parlor Red Earth Tattoo.
