The big male was removed from a trap at the junction of the Wickham and Victoria rivers, about two kilometres upstream from Dashwood Crossing on the Buchannan Highway.
Parks and Wildlife Commission NT senior ranger John Burke said the “problem croc” had been spotted taking VRD stock near the river.
“Dashwood Crossing is also a popular camping area for off-road tourists and some locals,” he said.
In total, 156 saltwater crocodiles have now been trapped in Top End waterways in 2015.
Twelve were caught in the four Katherine River management zones in 2014.
