Having fun, plenty of laughs and enjoying each others company are the orders from up high for the 120 ladies who’ll be enjoying the sights, tastes and sounds of Darwin during the NTCA and Northern Stock Water Ladies Lunch being held on Thursday, March 30.
NTCA project manager Carley Bidstrup said the Ladies Lunch provides a great opportunity for guests to mingle before the official conference activities begin.
Ms Bidstrup said the day will start with the group meeting up at 9am at the Darwin Waterfront Skywalk at which point they’ll disperse to take in the city’s boutique stores and businesses before heading to the luncheon at 11am.
“We’ll meet at Wharf One Food & Wine which will play host to the luncheon this year and will be putting on a four course shared tasting menu for the guests to sample and discuss, with the theme to include tropical flowers” she said.
She said the special guest speaker for the 2017 luncheon will be former television presenter Johanna Griggs.
“Johanna is on the Executive Board of Beyond Blue, and during the luncheon she’ll explain Beyond Blue’s objectives, where you can access services, and how it’s supporting rural people.
“In the current rural environment we have more awareness around the issues Beyond Blue supports, Johanna will be promoting their message and dispelling some of the stigmas still associated with mental health issues.”
Great door prizes will be won by some very lucky guests including a Paspaley lavalier of 12 white diamonds and a Paspaley Australian South Sea Circle Pearl valued at $3360, a $500 voucher from Kimberley Fine Diamonds and a $500 Ooroo Australia clutch.
Long-standing NTCA conference sponsors, Puma Energy, will be holding a competition to win framed prints by celebrated NT photographer Paul Arnold.
Each guest will also take home a gift bag overflowing with products from a wide selection of generous local businesses. For enquiries please call (08) 8981 5976.
