A 22-year-old driver is facing serious charges as a result of a fatal car crash near Katherine last month.

Police say the woman was driving a car which crashed on the Stuart Highway near the Edith Falls turnoff on January 24.
A 29-year-old man was killed in the accident.
Two others were treated for serious injuries while the fourth person sustained minor injuries.
Police today said Major Crash detectives had issued a notice to appear to the 22-year-old.
They say the woman was the driver of the car involved in the fatal crash.
A 21-year-old female was treated for serious injuries at the scene and later evacuated to Royal Darwin Hospital where she underwent treatment.
Police believe the car drifted off the northbound lane of the Stuart Highway, overcorrected and slid out of control over the southbound lane before rolling several times.
The 22-year-old woman has been charged with drive a vehicle dangerously cause death and drive a vehicle dangerously cause serious harm.
She is required to appear at Ngukurr Local Court on March 5.
