"I approached Landmark because of their strong brand and great reputation; they were excited to speak with us as they had been looking for the right team to open their Katherine office for quite some time," sales agent Olivia Thompson said.
The office in Katherine is starting with Olivia, Bindi and Glenn McTaggart, who deals with national and international corporate clients.
Bindi McBean was an easy choice for Landmark, since he was raised on properties in the top end and his strong involvement within the pastoral industry gave him a solid knowledge of the land and what is important to pastoral property buyers.
Bindi has lived in the Katherine region his entire life, so the opportunity to sell rural properties was an opportunity to combine his passion for helping people and his love of the land.
"I see Katherine as a town of opportunity, it is a vibrant place with so many success stories on individuals and businesses, I strongly believe in the theory of surrounding yourself with driven people and that is what makes Katherine stand out," Bindi said.
Olivia said: "Bindi is well connected within the pastoral industry and his strength will be in matching buyers with the right property.
"I have worked in a variety of markets over the past 20 years; good, bad, regional and metropolitan, it’s given me an understanding of the type of people I want to work with and this made Katherine a desirable location.
"I have a strong track record in sales and marketing, a love for selling property and the drive to tackle a new market.
"I’m excited to try some of my city marketing strategies on Katherine properties, coming from a market that has between 400 to 600 open homes every weekend you must keep your properties looking sharp and fresh.
"I grew up on cattle stations in the territory, opening the Landmark real estate office was a great opportunity for me to come home.
"We are a real estate office that specialising in selling residential, rural lifestyle, commercial and pastoral properties," Olivia said.
"Our knowledge and background is a huge benefit to clients, we are both very well connected and have access to an exclusive Landmark database of executive investors looking to buy in the Northern Territory.
"Plus, with years of experience comes the knowledge of what works and what doesn’t work, I believe we will be able to offer our clients valuable advice to assist with getting the best results."
Olivia said the team understood buyer behaviour and patterns, and had the tools to monitor properties throughout the sale process.
