Two men have been arrested after the alarming hit-run incident in Katherine's CBD on Tuesday night.

A 21-year-old Katherine man has been arrested and will face court today after being identified in the alleged assault of a 39-year-old man.
That 39-year-old was driving the Toyota Hilux which was involved in a bizarre hit-run incident near the Visitor Information Centre at 9.45pm.
After colliding with a female pedestrian, the driver stopped to lend assistance but was then allegedly assaulted, and his vehicle stolen which then ran over the injured woman.
The whole incident happened on Katherine Terrace towards Lindsay Street.
Police today said the stolen vehicle was located in a nearby remote community.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged for the alleged theft of the vehicle.
The 21-year-old man was charged with:
- aggravated assault
- breach of bail
The 26-year-old man was charged with:
- recklessly endanger life
- aggravated assault
- unlawful use of motor vehicle
- traffic offences
They are both due to face Katherine Local Court today.
Police say the Toyota first struck the female pedestrian but was then allegedly stolen by the 26-year-old, who was a fellow pedestrian, but he had run over the injured woman's legs in making his escape and being pursued by police.
She has been treated for her injuries at Katherine Hospital.
Police said they had chased the stolen Toyota but had "terminated the pursuit" due to high speeds involved.
The male driver was also taken to hospital for treatment.
