THE fifth week of this challenge is a very exciting one.
So far, with the support of many, I have been able to raise $1740.90 and I might just be able to double this by next week.
If you would like to help me reach my goal of $10,000, please feel free to donate via my website http://365daynojunk.com or contact me on 0429531763.
There are also a few functions being held this week supporting my challenge.
Meat trays will be raffled off at the Golf and Country Club this Thursday night.
There will be a ‘Bare Foot Lawn Bowls’ on Friday night, May 31, at 6pm also held at the Country Club.
On Sunday, June 2, Casuarina Street Primary School will be holding a Car Boot sale.
I am contributing a Jumping Castle and Fruit and Vegetable Raffle (kindly donated by Katherine Fruit and Vegetable Market).
So please feel free to attend or donate to this cause.
I am finding that I still think about eating junk food and still want chocolate.
Even though I believe in developing a healthy lifestyle and want to promote healthy living, I often find myself dreaming about what I might eat on the day this challenge finishes.
But these are just silly, fleeting thoughts.
The fundraising is my main motivation not to eat the junk.
It’s so exciting to be raising money and to have the support of those around me.
It makes the healthy eating worth it.
I am really relying on the herbal tea and a little bit of fruit to get me through the sugar cravings.
I don’t have as many anymore, but they do still hit at times – mainly when I am tired. Keeping busy is also a way to stay motivated.
I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who has supported me.
And a very special thankyou goes to Bianca Alosi who has helped me in so many ways, one being a four-hour raffle at Woolworths on Saturday.
Friends as wonderful as her are rare. Thanks Bi.
