
A minor flood warning has been issued for parts of the Katherine region.
A further 55mm fell overnight, most of late in the night.
The Bureau of Meteorology said widespread rainfall totals of 30 - 70mm have been recorded in the Katherine River catchment since 9am yesterday with totals around 100mm in the lower Katherine River.
River levels are rising throughout the Katherine River in response to recent rainfall.
Minor flooding is expected along the Katherine River Gorge Road, the bureau said.

The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is expected to reach between 4.00 and 4.50 metres during Monday.
“No flooding is expected in Katherine town,” the bureau said.
Katherine recorded 58mm on Friday and 15 over the weekend before Sunday’s night monsoon inspired deluge.

Katherine’s January total is climbing towards 200mm, against an average of 268mm.
It is worth remembering in this 20th year since the disastrous flood, January in that year recorded 732mm.
The bureau is forecasting continued rain for the Katherine region right through the week.
