Tourists grabbing a coffee at the Pop Rocket Cafe were treated to a rare sight today.
NT Parks and Wildlife rangers parked their latest catch, a 3.81m male saltie, at the popular tourist spot to promote the Croc Wise message.
The latest crocodile was trapped at Taylors Park boat ramp late yesterday.
“It is not just a fear factor thing, it is about education and understanding that crocs are not just magnificent but also dangerous,” NT Parks and Wildlife senior ranger John Burke said.
“We have had maybe 40 or 50 people come and have a look.
“Most are excited to see a croc, but then they realise they come from the river they are swimming in,” he said.
