Nailed It! in case you haven't seen it gives home bakers who really don't know what they're doing the opportunity to recreate edible masterpieces.
It's engaging, even charming, and the often-hilarious results get reviewed (rather than judged) at the end of the show.
Keep this in mind and know that as part of a busy calendar for October, bakers in Katherine can 'nail' cupcakes in an upcoming baking competition, with funds being raised for breast cancer research.
The Cupcake Competition is being organised by the Katherine Senior Citizens Association, a Club and Associate Member of COTA NT.
OTHER NEWS:
The association is a not-for-profit group and meets monthly at 10am in the Community Hall at 18 Bernard Street, on the first Wednesday of each month.
The group stay busy and with various activities in and around Katherine.
In Seniors Month, members attended 'Leading Lights' run by the library and told brief stories of their lives including the reasons they came to live in the Northern Territory.
These stories were compiled into a visual presentation by the library staff, who showed it to the group recently.
With plans for a visit to view an exhibition called 'Ground Swell' at the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Cultural Centre and morning tea at the Country Club next week, the Cupcake Competition fundraiser and a weekly Friday morning craft group at the hall, this active group have their diaries 'nailed'.
Visitors are very welcome to come along to their meetings and get involved.
