NRL Referee Development and Community Programs Officer, Sam Peterkin, said Latimore and Lewis are in town from April 26 to 29 as ambassadors for the NRL's Road to Regions program.
This is the first time the program, which is traditionally delivered in Queensland and New South Wales, has made it to Katherine, with the team visiting almost every Katherine primary school this week.

"The schools have been extremely eager to host the program, and have provided a fantastic response," Mr Peterkin said.
As well as the school visits, the team has hosted an after school League Stars Inspire program as well as a number of clinics with the Katherine Rugby League Club.
Mr Peterkin said the program provides an opportunity for Katherine kids to gain skills and mentoring from some seasoned experts, as well as learn about the wide-ranging benefits of sport.
"Road to Regions'' delivers the 'League Stars Inspire Inclusion & Diversity' presentation to primary school aged children. This program uses Rugby League as a vessel to promote inclusion, diversity and harmony in our sporting teams, schools and communities," he said.
He said the popularity of NRL in the Katherine region was on the rise.
"Whilst this is the first Roads 2 Regions in the NT, Katherine has been a major focus area for NRL NT for years," he said.
"This season, we have very healthy juniors numbers all the way from U/6s to U/18s, including U/14s & U/16s Girls teams. NRL NT invests very heavily in the recruitment and retention of players in the Katherine area."
