TWO males have a date with a magistrate following the execution of a police search warrant in Katherine this morning.

The two men, aged 43 and 31, were the target of a police operation that netted cannabis, steroids and prohibited weapons at Katherine residence.
Detective Sergeant Ian Kennon from the Northern Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk said the pair had been charged with multiple offences.
“Officers located a trafficable quantity of cannabis, a small amount of steroids, two 12-gauge shotguns, ammunition, fireworks and a number of illegal pellet guns,” he said.
The 43-year-old was charged with possessing a trafficable amount – 87 grams - of cannabis, possessing a Schedule 2 drug and possessing fireworks.
The 31-year-old was charged with possessing cannabis, possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing a firearm and ammunition without a licence and failing to meet storage requirements.
The men will appear in Katherine Magistrates Court on December 17.
