Police have charged a 37-year-old man with drug offences, and seized a commercial quantity of cannabis from a business in Katherine.

Detective Sergeant Ian Kennon confirmed that a team of police from the Northern Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk located and seized nine kilograms of cannabis over the weekend.
Police also executed a search warrant at a house in Katherine, and seized a ‘less than trafficable quantity’ of cannabis, cannabis seeds, drug paraphernalia, and fireworks.
One man was subsequently charged with supplying and possessing commercial quantities of cannabis, as well as for possessing fireworks .
He will appear in Katherine Magistrates Court on 21 September.
“Police will continue to target the people dealing in these illicit substances,” Detective Sergeant Kennon said.
