Mr Moriarty was last seen at the Larrimah Hotel at 6pm on Saturday, December 16.
Larrimah is 160km south-east of Katherine with a population of 11.
A comprehensive land and air search has not found any sign of Mr Moriarty or his dog Kellie.
Detectives would like to speak with anyone who may have information about a vehicle, or the driver, of a Mitsubishi Delica van.
Police believe the van was in Larrimah from early December to around December 21.
Detective Sergeant Matthew Allen said the driver or any person who has information about this vehicle may be able to assist with the investigation.
“Finding Mr Moriarty remains our top priority, someone out there has information that can help us find Paddy and we urge them to come forward.”
Mr Moriarty is described as Caucasian, 70 years of age, medium build with tanned appearance, around 178cm tall with short black/grey hair and a moustache. He was wearing dark-coloured shorts, singlet, thongs and a baseball style cap. It is possible he was in company with a red kelpie named ‘Kellie.’
Anyone with information is urged to notify police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 to assist police with their enquiries.
Mr Moriarty lives alone adjacent to the Stuart Highway in Larrimah.
He is a long-term and well-known resident of Larrimah. Investigations have established his absence is out of character as he had a regular routine.
