Flights from Katherine every week day

The increased schedule also includes flights from Darwin to the Kimberley, Perth, Townsville and Toowoomba, and an expansion of frequencies on the Centre Run from Darwin to Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

There will be two additional services every Tuesday and Thursday on the Centre Run from May 1 to complement services currently offered every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between Darwin and Alice Springs via Katherine and Tennant Creek.

Airnorth CEO, Daniel Bowden said he was delighted to announce an array of extra services including the launch of a new non-stop service three days a week between Darwin and Broome, an extended season for the popular weekly Darwin to Perth via Kununurra service and a resumption of seasonal services between Darwin to Townsville and onto Toowoomba.

Mr Bowden said, “We were pleased by the growth in traffic to the Northern Territory from both business and leisure travellers in the Top End this year and early indications are this growth in customers is likely to continue in 2018.”

Mr Bowden was also pleased to confirm that with the ongoing support of the Northern Territory Government, Airnorth would be able to increase frequencies on the Centre Run in the next dry season.

Deputy Chief Minister Nicole Manison confirmed the extension early November, explaining that, “This is fantastic news for all Territorians because improved access across the NT is one of the keys to unlocking opportunity and economic development.”

Services on the Centre Run will increase three to five times a week between Darwin and Alice Springs via the regional centres of Katherine and Tennant Creek from May 1, 2018.

Airnorth will be adding the following seasonal services:

·         Two non-stop jet services a week between Darwin and Broome commencing from May 17, 2018 every Monday and Thursday evening increasing to a third weekly non-stop service from June 19 on Tuesdays.  

·          A weekly jet service between Darwin and Perth via Kununurra from Friday, May 11, 2018 returning from Perth to Darwin every Saturday afternoon from May 12 and operating through to Saturday October 13, 2018. 

·          An additional weekly jet service between Darwin and Townsville and on to Toowoomba every Sunday commencing from June 3, 2018.

·         An additional weekly jet service between Darwin and Townsville only every Thursday afternoon commencing from June 7, 2018 through to the end of September.

·         Two additional services every Tuesday and Thursday on the Centre Run from May 1, 2018 to complement services currently offered every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between Darwin and Alice Springs via Katherine and Tennant Creek.
