Three very keen and experienced young people took part in the theory course which was conducted at the Rotary Family Fun Park Conference Centre on Friday.
The practical was held at the bus interchange on the Saturday.
The students demonstrated their slalom, u turns crash avoidance and slow riding skills. This was followed by an hour of on road riding.
It's easy to go fast on a bike. The skill to control your bike at slow speeds is an integral part of a rider's toolkit so we set up a challenge for all riders on the course to cover a 20 metre stretch as slow as they could. Our stand out champion was Dylan who was able to bring his bike almost to a standstill and still not fall off.
Trent Storey managed to stall his bike at really slow speed and then get it going again without putting his foot down.
The students were Dylan Cairns, Jarred Hughes (Jarred's brother paid for this course as a birthday present) and Trent Storey
