Katherine came out in big numbers earlier in the month to welcome the return of the Travelling Film Festival.
The festival was hosted by Sanam Rodrigues and Lisa Kitching from the Sydney Film Festival.
The opening reception was held at the Katherine Cinema and over the weekend film-goers were able to indulge in a selection of six intriguing films from the Sydney Film Festival.
All the film screenings through the weekend were well attended.
For those who enjoy films it was a bright opening to a wide range of interesting films in Katherine this year.
The Film Society screens a wide range of contemporary films every second Thursday at the Katherine Cinema, with all welcome.
