The newly built CareFlight hangar at Darwin’s International airport will be transformed into a ballroom for the ‘Come Fly With Me’ 2018 Hangar Ball on June 30.
The annual fundraising ball will raise funds for the Territory’s only dedicated rescue helicopter and the CareFlight aeromedical retrieval service.
Throwing their support behind the cause are Darwin auctioneer Karl Secondis and local radio and TV presenter Amanda Pernechele, who will be MC’ing.
CareFlight crews fly more than 5,000 Territory patients a year – on average 12 people a day – in a bid to save lives and provide pre-hospital critical care.
Moo Media Director Amanda Pernechele said as a long-term Territorian she was passionate about supporting charities and organisations which provide invaluable services to the wider community.
