The first Katherine Softball game on Saturday between Wanderers and Rebels started with Wanderers getting straight to work and with a two base hit to Cindy Manfong, scoring three runs.

Rebels’ first bat saw them also take a great start with Mel Retchford bringing in four runs.
Both teams went on to score further in the game with big batting from both sides and Wanderers edging in front.
In the last inning Rebels held Wanderers from scoring any further runs but Wanderers had already taken the lead and Rebels was unable to come back with final scores Wanderers 14 to Rebels 10.
Best on ground for Wanderers was Keely AhChin, Anne Manfong and Kerry Scrutton while for Rebels Theresa Anderson and Tamika Fisher along with Pitcher Mel Retchford who batting a perfect 1000 batting average with 5 runs batted in.
In the second game Arnhem Crow took on the undefeated Rockers.
Crows worked hard in the first inning and held Rockers back from scoring and in turn went on to score five runs with a massive hit from Annemarie Lee.
In the second inning Rockers scored three runs and kept Crows from scoring.
In the third inning Rockers got in front with six runs crossing the plate with safe batting from Peta Ross but Crows replied by scoring 7 runs this time with a 2 base hit to Lana Broom.
In the final inning Rockers came back and was 1 run in front but Crows had their last bat and scored a further 4 runs to seal their first win of the season and Rockers first loss with final scores Arnhem Crows 16 to Rockers 13.
Best on ground for Arnhem Crows was Lana Broom, Annemarie Lee and Vita Brinjen while for Rockers Peta Ross, Libby Ross and Cami Delacouer.
There will be no games this weekend due to the long weekend,
