The large fire in the Uralla area, east of Katherine, is now under control.
Fire crews continue to fight the fires.
The fire has impacted Uralla Road but no structures, vehicles or outbuildings have been affected.
Assistance has been provided by residents, BFNT helicopter, private contractors and Parks.
Wind has dropped and made the fire more manageable.

Front two at Uralla has a back burn underway. The fire has stalled at this location.
Fire crews are expected to remain on scene for a few more hours with no additional fire crews requested at this time.
The Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Services earlier issued a dire watch and act warning saying an uncontrolled fire was burning in the quarry area near the airfield.
Winds started to ease late in the afternoon after gusting to 48kmh during the afternoon.
