Saturday's softball kicked off with the first game between Rockers and Rebels.

Rockers batted first and brought in three runs.
Unfortunately for Rebels an injury in the first five minutes of the game meant they had to play on with one player short meaning an automatic out at their injured players turn at bat but still managed to bring in three runs.
In the second inning Rockers went back in and scored 1 more run with a big 3 base hit to Hayley Ross.
Rebels second bat saw them bring in 6 runs thanks in part to a 2 base hit to Brooke McHugh giving them a good lead.
In the third inning Rockers brought in 4 runs bringing the scores to 1 run difference with Rebels unable to score.
In the top of the fourth inning Rockers batted and managed to bring in 1 run to level the score with Rebels yet to bat, but time had run out and Rebels was unable to have their last bat so scores reverted back giving Rebels the win.
Final score: Rebels 9 d Rockers 8.
Best on ground for Rebels was Mel Retchford, Brooke McHugh and Georgia Armitage and for Rockers Hayley Ross, Peta Ross and Francine Bain.
In the second game Arnhem Crows was up against Tindal.
Arnhem batted first and with safe hits all around including a 2 base hit to Mavis Jumberri scored 8 runs.
Tindal first bat saw then get in one run.
In the second inning Arnhem batted in 8 more runs with more safe hits. Tindal then batted and with a safe hit to Bonnie Priest scored 6 runs but it was time and game giving Arnhem Crows the win.
Final scores: Arnhem 16 d Tindal 7.
Best on ground for Arnhem Crows was Lana Broome, Mavis Jumberri and Megan Kingsley. Best on ground for Tindal Bonnie Priest, Katie Vandergarden and Jordan Gray.
In the third and final game Wanderers played Kalano Bombers.
Wanderers was playing one player short which meant they too had an automatic out when the 9th batter was up to bat but still managed 5 runs in their first bat.
Kalano responded bringing in 3 runs with a safe hit to Deidre Lechlitner.
In the second inning Wanderers went and batted in a further 3 runs with a safe hit to Anne Manfong.
But Kalano was keeping up with a 3 base hit to Natasha Bronghur bringing in 2 runs.
In the third inning Wanderers extended their lead by 2 more runs but again Kalano responded bringing in 1 run. In the fourth and final inning Kalano held Wanderers from scoring any more runs and went into bat. Kalano brought in one run but the clock had beaten them and time and game was called.
Final scores: Wanderers 10 d Kalano Bombers 7.
Best on ground for Wanderers was Anne Manfong, Keely AhChin and Cheryl Hayes and for Kalano Natasha Bronghur and Kathleen Andrews both batting a perfect 1000 batting average.
This weekend games kick off at 10am with Arnhem Crows playing Kalano Bombers then at 11.40am Rebels are up against Wanderers and the last game at 1.20pm Rockers versus Tindal.
