It comes after students were given a task to write a persuasive piece and they chose to request a refrigerated bubbler from council to be installed at the park.
The task taught the students about processes and how to go about achieving their wants.
The students presented their written submissions to a council meeting in October.
Key proposed points from the Clyde Fenton students were to reduce the use of plastic and to stay hydrated whilst playing.
Katherine Mayor Fay Miller and the excited students have now officially unveiled the refrigerated bubbler for all to enjoy.
