Ms Tapp Coutts has received a positive reception among her 992 followers online after completing three chapters of her popular 2016 novel thus far.
"The idea came to me spontaneously," she said.
"I just thought it'd be nice for people to be able to lie back and listen to a story, maybe they've had my book on their shelf forever how long and haven't gotten around to reading it.
"Now they can just relax and listen," Alderman Tapp Coutts said.

While many are finding the forced hiatus difficult, Ms Tapp Coutts says that it can also be an opportunity.
"It's time to slow down and take a breath," she said.
"I've also been writing letters, I've asked everyone on my Facebook to send me their address and I'll send them a postcard.
"We can't change anything about what's going on right now, so we need to be creative," Ms Tapp Coutts said.
