The awards, which will be held on Friday December 3 at Godinymayin Yijard, Rivers, Arts & Culture Centre, recognise the achievements of people with disabilities and disability care providers in the Katherine region.
All members of the community are encouraged to attend, particularly people with disabilities and their loved ones.
The award categories are; Outstanding Person With a Disability, Outstanding Service Provider and Outstanding Support Person or Teacher.
Mayor Lis Clark said the awards aim to promote more awareness, inclusivity and understanding within the community.
"It is important we start a conversation about the issues experienced by people with disability and celebrate their achievements and encourage inclusion within our community," she said.
Nominations are now open and can be submitted online.
