The sale was settled last week, with Jawoyn set to add the Beagle to its hospitality and tourism portfolio which includes Nitmiluk Tours and Cicada Lodge.
Jawoyn Association Deputy Chair Robbie Friel said the purchase would provide employment and training opportunities for Jawoyn people.
"This is quite an achievement for Jawoyn and its people moving forward," he said.
"I think we have a new avenue for our people to prosper and grow and training for our young people - something that we dreamed about in the early days."
OTHER NEWS:
Chairperson Lisa Mumbin said the tourism ventures created an opportunity for Jawoyn people to "share our country."
"Our elders have always been strong on the vision for Jawoyn people and this time is just one of those significant moments."
Former owner of nine years Prue Weir said she was happy to see the hotel be taken over by Jawoyn, while she heads to Queensland to be with her family.
"It's been a fabulous journey, lots of ups, lots of downs, lots of learning, it's been amazing, I just want to wish Jawoyn every ounce of success with what they have inherited."
