After four years of working in a number of roles, most recently as the Venue & Performance Manager, Mr King is moving on from the gallery he made such a major contribution to.
After working around the world, the Katherine-born Mr King said he loved being able to work in such a special place in his home town.
"I was very excited when I first came back to see that GYRACC was here because apparently 12 years ago when it first opened...the first show ever to be put on at GYRACC was ours. So I was the first one to perform.

"I said 'wow, this is in Katherine? This is amazing. You know, I loved it.
"So coming back and having the opportunity to work here, that that was just too good."
Mr King, who also performs as Constantina Bush, said GYRACC has provided a platform for her work, as well as other artists.
"I have a lot of support here with my Constantina Bush character, like whenever I put on a show doesn't seem to I don't have to worry about selling tickets," he said.
"We [also] did that show with Constantina Bush, Shelly Morris and Tony Childs here, which sold out, that was a beautiful show."
Despite moving on from GYRACC, Mr King said he will be staying in Katherine, and plans to keep supporting the gallery.
"Katherine is one of the Territory's gems, so I don't think I'll be moving from here anytime soon," he said.
"I want to always come back and support GYRACC. So, in the meantime, when they're trying to find someone to come and hang exhibitions, until they've replaced me, I will come and hang the exhibitions in my own time."
