POLICE have charged a 30-year-old Katherine man with drug offences and seized a trafficable quantity of cannabis and methamphetamine following the execution of a search warrant this morning.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Ian Kennon said detectives from the Northern Substance Abuse Intelligence Desk, assisted by the Northern Investigation Section, arrested the man at a resident in Katherine North.
“Police located and seized, two mature cannabis plants, cannabis plant material, methamphetamine, steroids, unsecured ammunition and fireworks,” he said.
The man was charged with four drug-related offences – including possession of a trafficable quantity of a schedule one dangerous drug – and three additional offences related to ammunition and fireworks.
He will appear in Katherine Magistrates Court on December 9.
